Position Description:

**Shift is 4x10**

Position Purpose:
Assists with the planning, coordination, performance of design, analysis and liaison engineering supporting the development and production of Company products and services

Essential Functions:
1. Contributes to planning, developing and coordinating of important engineering projects
2. Provides specialized technical assistance to team members
3. Uses advanced techniques and modified extension of theories to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
4. Determines and develops own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives
5. Works under limited supervision; work should only be required. to be reviewed for accuracy and consistency with meeting overall objectives
6. Acts as liaison with representatives outside of the assigned group/area

Additional Functions:
1. Actively works to improve daily processes and ensures all work meets customer requirements
2. Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product Perform other duties as assigned.

Unique Skills:
The primary function of Aircraft Completions Liaison Engineering department is to support operations aircraft by coordinating all engineering efforts required to facilitate the installation of the aircraft interior. Support operations teams to correct any engineering errors, workmanship / manufacturing issues that arise during the fabrication of aircraft furniture and installation. Actively develop engineering product improvements. The Liaison engineer shall support aircraft customization requests including design, fabrication, testing, and final delivery. Additional responsibilities include developing alternative design approaches, including establishing design verification & validation models specification of applicable test, conductance of test to show compliance with applicable regulations. Successful applicant will be self-motivated, and able to develop an approach from initial procedure review, data processing, task optimization, and specifically communication of technical information to a wide range of audiences, meeting customer needs. Candidates should have a willingness to work off-shift and weekend hours on occasion when program milestones require. Applicants must be willing to constantly review existing processes and methods for continuous improvement. Ideal candidates for the Completions Liaison Engineer will have mechanical engineering and previous liaison engineering experience with cabin interiors and systems. Ensure aircraft schedule and budgets are met to support schedule for each aircraft's Supplemental Type Certification (STC) for on-time customer delivery.
Commodity support to include by not limited to: -Seats -Galley -Lavs -Liners -Water System -Mechanical Systems

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 5 ys in specific technical discipline or 10 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters, 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
