Position Description: Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design. Develops and implements enterprise level approaches to structural and stability analysis and testing. Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Investigates emerging technologies to develop future product designs to meet projected requirements. Works with customers and regulatory agencies to develop certification standards and define processes that will ensure requirements are met. Reviews and approves certification results (e.g. stress notes). Works independently.

Requirements: Bachelor's and 20 or more years' experience, Master's with 18 or more years' experience or PhD with 15 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. Demonstrated ability to lead the development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design; coordination with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment; verification and product design and structural integrity. 15+ years of experience using classical methods for structural sizing of traditional airframe primary structure, metals and composites (e.g. joints, strength, stability, shear resistant beams, crippling etc.). Proficient in Patran, including manipulating and interrogating internal loads models. Experience working on company programs (e.g. BCA, BDS) using company Design Manual analysis methods and Composite Structures Workbench (CSW) is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency leading and mentoring teams of stress analysts.
