Position Description:
**This is a weekend shift position**
Hours are Friday & Saturday 4PM-4AM, Sunday and Monday 4PM-12AM.
Tests product and maintains test machinery and equipment under direction of test engineering by performing the following:
• Reviews project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment.
• Performs testing in accordance with test specifications, including test setup, test equipment adjustment and sample and data storage.
• Drafts detail drawing or sketch as necessary for fabrication of equipment or setup components.
• Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products such as industrial equipment and machinery, power equipment, servo systems, machine tools, and measuring instruments.
• Sets up and conducts tests of hydraulic components to evaluate product performance toward support of customer requirements.

Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
• Associates Degree in engineering or related sciences, or equivalent certification from an accredited institution
• Minimum of two years equivalent experience or 4 years’ experience working in a technical / laboratory setting without degree or certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with PC-based control systems.
• Prior knowledge with measurement / data acquisition systems, instrumentation wiring and documentation.
Position Criteria:
• Knowledge of test equipment operation, machine hydraulics, data acquisition and inspection equipment.
• A high degree of mechanical aptitude.
• A broad knowledge of test machines and instruments.
• General knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Print reading and dimensional inspection capability.
• Effective use of current technology and the learning and application of new technology.
• Basic mathematics, graph reading and calculations are required.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
As an ITAR facility, this position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
