Position Description:

CTS International is currently seeking a CNC Programmer for a new Aerospace manufacturing facility in Goose Creek, SC!

Job Summary:
The CNC Programmer will program, edit and control NC tapes for CNC machines. Programmers will work with parts from start to finish which may also include drawing parts, development of flat patterns and/or reverse engineering. The CNC Programmer supports the manufacturing area through the design of manufacturing processes for machined parts and through programming related CNC machines. Successful candidates will leverage their past experience to help align the function with the company’s vision, values and core business needs, processes, goals and objectives. This position reports to the Engineering and Contracts Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Design the manufacturing process for parts using milling, routing and waterjet technology.
• Provide programming support for CNC vertical and horizontal mills.
• Implement process improvements by designing fixtures or identifying cutting tools which improve manufacturing performance.
• Support product development by assisting designers in developing parts that can be machined efficiently.
• Support existing products with CNC program, bill of material and routing maintenance.
• Work with vendors to resolve problems affecting internal manufacturing processes.
• Use quality control principles and practices to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
• Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements:


Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
• Experience with CATIA V5, Mastercam, Flow-Master, Fanuc controls, Verisurf, Haas machines and various other machinery.
• Ability to design, program, and validate the manufacturing process for machined parts using CNC equipment.
• CMM and Romer arm experience preferred but not required.
• Thorough understanding of machining, fixture design, and basic metallurgy.
• Proficiency in MS Office products.

Education and Experience
• Associate’s or trade school degree desired.
• Certification in CATIA design or greater with 2-5 years of experience.
• 2+ years of experience in CNC programming in a manufacturing/machine shop environment.
