Position Description:

Candidates possessing extensive experience using Company Commercial Airplane structural analysis methods and tools are required. Company 7 series airplane stress analysis experience are required. Company fleet support airplane repair experience are required. Experience using Company Commercial Book 2 and Book 3 is highly desirable. Candidates who have or had DER or Company AR experience are desired. Customer Support has team members working non-standard shifts in a 24 hour day. Must be a U.S. person status at the start of employment.

With the recent creation of Company Commercial Airplanes Design Center in Southern California, there are new engineering opportunities in the Customer Support Engineering Business Unit.
• We are looking for experienced Airframe Structural Stress Analysts to help with a variety of projects.
• The position will be responsible for leading the development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the structural design.
• Responsibilities will include Coordinating with other engineering groups to establish the product's safe environment, guiding repair design and verifying structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
• They will also support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
• Developing analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort will also be required.
• This position will work under minimal direction.
Requirements:


*In support of this 24/7 around the clock customer support initiative, working periodic off-nominal shifts on a rotational basis is expected as part of this job.*

Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
