Position Description:
POSITION CRITERIA:
Experience with negotiating broad alliance agreements including sourcing, distribution, co-development, co-manufacturing, applications support. Understanding of mobile and industrial hydraulics products, customers, markets and competitors preferred.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Assist a hydraulic compressor project in the areas of investigating market size, market segments, marketing approach, customer needs, adjacent potential markets, and overall business strategy. This contractor will assist a Marketing Manager in the development of this opportunity for Company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Directly responsible for leading marketing research and “Voice of the Customer” for given project
2. Responsible for assisting with compressor strategy development and execution including product positioning, segment & channel mix, targeted value propositions, and manufacturing strategy.
3. Responsible for product marketing including launch execution, pricing, positioning, selling collateral etc. for developed solution.
4. Sponsor new product program to include research, identification of potential, specification, financial analysis, resource requirements, and presentation to appropriate levels of management. Works with APS engineering and marketing team as well as CRT and CTO engineering organizations to develop proposed solution.

Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited university required.
- 2-5 years’ experience in industrial marketing, marketing consulting or engineering field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBA preferred
- Previous experience in Hydraulics or other heavy duty industrial products
- Previous experience with the Oil & Gas
- Experienced in marketing research methods and tools such as AHP, Conjoint Analysis, Focus Group studies.
