Position Description:
Plans and organizes structural analysis work at the program level to assure total compliance with structural integrity and stability requirements. Develops, integrates and documents complex or unique structural requirements to establish the system design. Guides other analysts for development of analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance of the product. Works with customers and regulatory agencies to define certification processes that will ensure requirements are met. Reviews and approves certification results find compliance to the Federal Regulations for structural integrity of the products, especially for major repair and alteration including fatigue and damage tolerance requirements. Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Investigates emerging technologies to develop future product designs to meet projected requirements. Works under consultative direction. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. DER ticket or ODA unit membership and aircraft certification experience is required for this position. Delegation for Company 7 series products is highly desirable. Delegation for repair/alteration/Damage Tolerance is a must. DER with a dynamic seat delegation is desirable.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and typically 14 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' experience
