Position Description: **4/10 Schedule** Duties: Under general direction, performs quality engineering assignments requiring a wide application of advanced principles, theories and concepts in the field plus a working knowledge of other related disciplines. Typical responsibilities include: Provides imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving the conventional utilization of quality engineering techniques. Conceives and plans projects involving the development of new methods to attain objectives. Reviews engineering designs and specifications for translation into inspection verification methods. Reviews manufacturing process planning to ensure compliance with drawing, specification and contractual requirements. Provides technical guidance to less senior quality engineers and inspection, manufacturing and test personnel. Creates and maintains first article inspection plans in compliance to AS9102. Determines gage and instrumentation adequacy, needs and future usage. As member of material review board, participates in disposition process and reviews with customer representatives. Develops, implements and reviews corrective action and process improvements. May train and certify NDT inspection personnel.

Requirements: We are looking for QEs with experience in DOD aerospace industry with preference for personnel with explosives, solid rocket motors, or precision assembly. Aircraft experience does not satisfy the need. Need experience with Nonconforming Material Control & Disposition, Cause & Corrective Action and First Articles in a DOD/Mil-STD environment. - First article interface (FAI) - Hardware acceptance review - Experience working with Raytheon
