Position Description: This position will be focused towards the metals/machining functions of the Lab. Works under general supervision. Provides assistance with research, tests and analyses to support the use of materials, processes and equipment in the engineering and manufacture of products. Assists with the evaluation and qualification of materials, processes, suppliers and equipment against conformance and producibility requirements. Assists with parts failure analysis. Participates in the design, fabrication and testing of new concepts and technologies for incorporation into materials, processes and equipment. Supports production implementation of materials, processes and equipment. Interpretation of material and process specifications and standards. Experience with metallography, photography, machining and tool design highly desirable.

Requirements: AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
