Position Description: This position is responsible for accounting for corporate capital software projects. This includes the acquisition of traditional hardware products (tangibles), and capitalized software projects (intangibles). The position is directly responsible for performing the capital appropriation processes (i.e., training; reviewing CAR documents; facilitating the approval process; reviewing expenses submitted for reclass; monthly reporting and analysis). - At this level, incumbents make advanced application of technical accounting practices and concepts representing an expanding knowledge of accounting principles. Assignments are designed to continue the expansion of practical experience and to develop professional judgment in the application of accounting techniques Responsibilities include: A. Reviews and inputs CAR information into Oracle Project Accounting system. Performs capitalization of assets into the Oracle Fixed Assets system when capital project assets are placed in service. B. Collects data related to project spend from various internal and external capital project stakeholders and interpret what project expenditures are capital versus expense and taxable versus non- taxable. Based on this analysis prepare appropriate monthly journal entries. C. Prepare, provide and present various project financial and capital reports in a timely and accurate manner as required to assist project managers in decision-making. This involves understanding the project plan compared to actuals. D. Maintains and manages standardized monthly financial review and variance reporting processes for actuals, forecast and profit plan. Also ensures the integrity of the data. - The ideal candidate for this opportunity will possess a BS degree in Accounting or Finance.

Requirements: Education: BA in Accounting or Finance REQUIRED Specific skills/qualifications required- CPA is preferred 1-3 years Experience in role.
