Position Description:
Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer will plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing processes in the facility by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
• Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Team with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
• Communicate with suppliers to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
• Coordinate with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
• Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential
• Other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
**Strong Background in tool design, assembly fixturing, layup mandrels and routing fixtures.**
Skills/Qualifications:
• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum five years directly related experience preferred
• Excellent knowledge of aerospace specifications and requirements
• Experience working with aircraft interiors in a FAA environment preferred
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks/CATIA 5 and Keytech preferred
• Strong oral and written communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and general supervision
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and problem solving techniques
• Working knowledge of machining and treatment processes
