Job Description:
Security Background Screening and Adjudication team member working in a high-volume and fast paced environment in order to mitigate foreseeable risk to our company’s people, property and information through the execution of professional background screening and adjudication services.
The successful applicant will be able to review and analyze multiple data sets to identify concerns and discrepancies in an applicant’s background investigation. Based on established standards, make reasoned conclusions as to whether applicants are suitable for hire based on Company procedure, practices, and guidelines, as well as relevant federal and state laws. Apply your knowledge of the criminal justice system to determine if a criminal record is legal to be considered for employment purposes.
Gather independent information from public records sources, and employment applications to determine if applicants meet the established screening standards for new hires and contingent labor personnel. Work under the direction and in consultation with the manager of the Security Background Screening program.

Support the program manager in providing guidance, education, and direction to any selected background third-party supplier that is integrating its services into the background investigation program processes. Review background supplier’s research results for accuracy and thoroughness, ensuring quality oversight of work product. Extract and monitor metrics on scheduled basis and create charts, graphs, and spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel).

Job Skills:
Excellent analytical skills and outstanding judgment is imperative. Candidate must have excellent communication, coaching and mentoring skills, both verbal and written. Candidate must have exceptional organizational skills and be able to address time sensitive demands on a continual basis. Candidate must be able to research and extract information from multiple online public records sources. Candidate must be able to use suite of Microsoft Office applications, like Outlook and Word. (No on-the-job training for these basic skills). Candidate must have knowledge of the criminal justice system and the stages of adjudication in criminal matters. Knowledge of state and federal law limitations as they pertain to employment law is a plus. Candidate shall have experience in managing a caseload, and using electronic databases to track and access information. Candidate must be deemed trustworthy and reliable to handle confidential and sensitive personally identifiable information. Candidate should be a proven case manager, who has experience in dealing with high volumes of time sensitive transactions on a continual basis. Candidate must be self-directed with proven ability to work independently and with minimal oversight. Candidate shall have strong data entry skills (10 key, keyboarding). Candidate must be skilled at using the Microsoft Outlook (schedule meetings, manage email), and Word. Knowledge of Microsoft Visio Standard (to create flowcharts), Microsoft PowerPoint (charts).
Requirements:


Education / Experience:
Bachelor's or typically 6 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree or typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
