Position Description:

Position Purpose:
Analyzes current and future business objectives and assesses the effect and fit of technologies, aligning technical solutions with the business needs of the company. Develops the strategy for delivering sustainable and scalable information technology architecture and performs required planning and oversight for its implementation.
Essential Functions:
1.Interpret business requirements/strategies and map them to IT capabilities.
2.Assist in architectural design and integration of business capabilities to right set of solutions and technologies. 3.Build business relationships and partnerships and maintain relevance to functional clients.
4.Identify foundation architectures and ensure they are in the IT architecture portfolio.
5.Participate in evolving industry trends and benchmarking, influence vendors roadmap and product direction. 6.Develops high-level view of current and proposed IT architectures.
7.Develops detailed plan for delivery of required components of enterprise IT architecture.
8.Participate in evolution of technology and business roadmaps.
9.Continuously evaluate technology effectiveness and interoperability.
10.Works with IT Business Partners to understand future requirements and their impact to IT architecture.
11.Works with application and infrastructure teams to a satisfy business needs.
12.Confers with project managers to obtain information on capabilities and limitations of existing systems resulting from design of current IT architecture.
13.Understands application and infrastructure integration needs and the corresponding impact to the IT architecture.
14.Conducts technical evaluations and performs cost/benefit analysis.
15.Plans work and projects using project management techniques.
16.Maintains a current knowledge of technology developments in related areas and evaluates impact on company objectives and IT architecture.
17.Supports development of the enterprise IT strategy through the Technology and Business Integration Strategy team.
18.Assists in the development of the disaster recovery strategy.
19.Understands IS Security measures and current standards, practices and technology.
Additional Functions:
1.Serve as liaison with suppliers.
2.Assists with evaluation and recommendations regarding purchased software packages, hardware platforms and supporting services.
3.Assists with development and implementation of technical standards, hardware standards, and software standards.
4.Assists with hardware, software and project approvals.
5.Responsible for timely implementation of projects.
6.Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Unique Skills:
Defines and implements IT application solutions, within the constraints of existing enterprise architectural standards, which meets the requirements of one or more business areas while achieving an acceptable cost of ownership. Assists in the development and deployment of systems, methodologies, standards and processes that support the application development and support functions. Expertise in the development of Technical Specification. with a focus on performance optimization. Required: SDLC, .NET, Java, Oracle, PL/SQL, Client Server, Microsoft Office full suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access) Desired: Understanding of Networks. High-availability, and a familiarity with SAP, Engineering and Manufacturing systems.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Computer Science or Information Management.A minimum of 10 years experience as an IT professional with broad experience across multiple IT disciplines. Solid understanding of system life-cycle methodologies.
