Position Description:
SHIFT: 4x10
The Project Engineering and Engineering Operations Directorate is looking for a well-qualified individual who will be responsible for tasks related to the design, development and deployment of custom Project Server/SharePoint software solutions. Solutions will be used to support the efficient and effective management of Company Engineering projects.
Guides successful completion of major engineering programs, or conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of Company products and services
The successful candidate writes code, understands/influences/enforces coding standards and best practices, works with version control processes, writes and executes PL/SQL scripts, performs application and feature design and re-factoring, and troubleshooting of complex software problems.
Assists in maintaining existing SharePoint/Project Server reports, dashboards, workflows, and is responsible for ensuring correct and prompt development of new reports and related services.
Must be able to analyze problem incidents, debug SQL tables, structures, and relationships, and implement fixes.
Must be able to self-manage assignments - articulate own deliverables, and develop and communicate a project schedule for own deliverables.
Required B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
10 years software development experience using relevant tools.
Mastery of development tools used throughout the Software Development Lifecycle process.
Tool experience should include: SharePoint 2010/13, Project Server 2010/2013, Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) concepts and technologies; SQL Server 2008/12 (including T-SQL & SSIS/SSRS/SSAS); Business Intelligence (BI) report development; Cube building in SQL; SQL Report Builder; PerformancePoint; PowerPivot; SQL Query writing; Data warehousing concepts; Microsoft Reporting Services
Demonstrated experience in business intelligence and/or similar field, with emphasis in the areas of designing, building, deploying, and maintaining reporting/application solutions.
Ability to display data dynamically (automate reports and provide basic charting, etc.);
Write and understand complex SQL queries against SQL Server databases;
Refactor SQL and stored procedures to enable reuse and improve robustness;
Proven ability to create solutions from concept to implementation developing in object oriented languages;
Preferred
Data migration experience; Complex workflow experience using Visual Studio; Team Foundation Server (TFS) or equivalent; DBA experience; ASP.NET; ECMA/JS; HTML5; C#; Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) on SharePoint or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) certification Helpful
UI experience - Layout, Design, Workflows; SharePoint integration with SAP; Agile/SCRUM methodology

Additional Functions: 1. Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product 2. Performs other duties as assigned
Other Requirements: 1. Advanced degree in engineering, or related curriculum preferred 2. The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline

Bachelors degree in engineering, a related curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. See Other Requirements in Job Description.10 yrs in the specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors, or 8 yrs in the specific technical discipline with Masters, or 6 yrs in the specific technical discipline with PhD.
