Position Description:

Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, performs professional assignments requiring general use and application of concepts, practices and techniques. Performs the following type of activities: Establishes program and manufacturing schedules for a program or portion of a program. Provides inputs to data management to ensure delivery of contractual data. Assists in spares recommendations for customer proposals. Analyzes consumption trends, projects new spare requirements based on program needs. Develops modification kit material requirements. Assists in the development of repair tasks. Performs special duties as required. Advises program team of problems or concerns relating to conformance to the program schedules or achieving established milestones. Reports status to management. Coordinates plans and schedules with affected functions. May participate in proposal planning activities. May assign work to and direct less senior employees as appropriate and required. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment including overall adequacy and accuracy. Error in judgment or failure to achieve results would normally require a moderate expenditure of resources to rectify. Contacts are frequently intra-organizational, inter-organizational and with outside company contacts. May represent the organization in providing solutions to problems associated with specific assignments.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in an appropriate discipline and three years directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to analyze material consumption and project future trends.

Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interface with all levels of personnel. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Skill to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments to meet designated schedules. May require the ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications. May be required to use a variety of computer systems to prepare reports and documents. Knowledge of manufacturing and materiel management systems. Ability to operate effectively in a team environment. Work place may include areas where chemical materials are encountered. May involve exposure to shop environment including variable noise levels. Must customarily have a high consciousness for personnel and equipment safety. May be required to utilize a variety of personal protective equipment.
