Uses 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools, to develop and maintain mechanical/structural engineering product definition. Prepares design layouts and modifies existing designs to satisfy customer requirements. Assists with the use of 3D laser scanning equipment used for creating as-built and models of large structures and platforms. Develops statements of work, including design requirements, cost and schedule estimates. Contributes to the integration of product definition across internal and external business customers to provide a functional end-product. Ability to Lead a project and work under low supervision, ability to multitask and ability to work well within a team environment. Mentors less experienced personnel. Works under general direction.
AA degree in related discipline and typically 5 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with metrology, coordinate measurement systems or surveying is highly desired. Prefer minimum of 1,000 hours with Catia V5. Prefer some experience in a laser scanning 3-D point cloud software tool.
12+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
