Assists with continuous review and analysis of demand and supply. Supports the sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements. Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities.
The job description is for a level 1 Buyer/Planner within Supplier Management. The job entails Material Requirements Planning knowledge - an understanding of MRP concepts and systems (unplanned versus planned demand) economic order quantity, resource planning, material type, manufacture or purchase leadtimes. Also includes the procurement function - knowledge, responsibilities and tasks performed by Procurement departments and/or disciplines. Contract structure and terms - basic knowledge of contract structure and terminology. Analytical skills - skills and ability to collect and organize, synthesize and analyze data, summarize findings, develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources. Communication and negotiation skills are also necessary in this role as well as writing skills.
Education Required:
Minimum Bachelor Degree Required
