Position Description: Quality Test Specialist

Assists in the creation of sampling procedures in an electrochemical processing facility. Follows documented procedures to take chemical samples from chemical processing tanks. Follows documented procedures to set up and calibrate analytical measurement equipment. Follows documented procedures to perform tests (titrations, ICP, pH, dissolved solids) and collects data for evaluation of chemical processing solutions. Documents standard measurement results to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. Analyzes routine test, inspection or statistical data to determine processes conformity with identified specifications. Elevates anomalous results immediately. Works under general supervision.

Has substantial and thorough understanding of the analytical chemistry.

Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity by following established practices and procedures.

Receives general supervision with basic instructions for routine work and detailed instructions for new lines of work or special assignments. Performs routine or standardized work, choosing from a variety of well-established options. Work is reviewed for soundness and overall adequacy and accuracy.

Typical Educ/Exper:
