Position Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Data Architect to join the team in Seattle, WA. As a prospective candidate you will love data and understand how it’s used to drive businesses forward through the collection, conditioning, governing and application. You must have experience in large scale digital enterprises and understands how to work cross functionally across the enterprise to recognize opportunities and constraints in building and delivering a successful data program.
You will lead activities to define and develop data strategy, identify technologies that work best to address different use cases. Leads the identification of design constraints and ensures architecture conforms to data requirements. Incorporates architecture functions into software development lifecycle. Leads the development and configuration management of architecture views and models. Assesses of feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives. Performs trade-off analyses. Evaluates products to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments. Drafts data and information management products and service standards. Assesses impact of architectural decisions to product lifecycle. Collaborate and work with development team members. Coaches and mentors other team members.
Data Governance:
• Aviation is data rich and it needs to be tamed. We need you to bring your data governance expertise to consider how we contextualize and normalize our data environment. Data models, taxonomies, MDM are all tools in your toolkit to help us develop a data governance program that will make sure that we understand our assets and those of our customers. Through the common language of data, you’ll help unite the aviation ecosystem for the current and next generation. We need you to think big, but bring practical solutions to the table
Export Control Requirement:
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
