The selected candidate will work on Hurlburt Field AFB in the metals technology shop, performing precise welding repairs to metal components. Repairs will be in compliance with government-provided technical guidance.
Maintains equipment and systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components. Troubleshoots problems to isolate faulty components. Conducts functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment. Performs a variety of inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents. Documents maintenance and inspection actions as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate for this position must be able to perform TUNGSTEN-INERT-GAS (TIG) welding techniques on titanium and inconel steel components. The candidate must be able to work unsupervised, applying general technical guidance to repair metal components.
The candidate must provide personal welding visor. All other tools are government provided
4+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
