*This position does not have a defined shift, training will occur on 1st shift or 2nd shift and after that it will be decided if it will be a 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift position. Requirement for individual to be flexible and available to work any shift at anytime. Weekends may be your regular work week after initial training.*
Test Data Retrieval System Operator
Major responsibilities
• Ingesting Flight media from airplanes into the Main Archive Data system
• Preparing flight media for reuse
• Processing flight and ground test data to support engineering requests.
Data acquisition occurs on multiple platform data systems that use RMX,
VAX/VMS, Ultrix, and Linux, and Windows based Operating Systems.
• Troubleshooting problem jobs by working with various Flight Test support groups to resolve data quality issues.
• Logging in flight media and maintaining the database.
• Submitting media scan requests
• Monitoring data requests for quality assurance
• Operating Laser Printers and Plotters. Releasing and sorting Print and Plot listings.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Desired:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five or more years experience in the Data Processing field.
• Working knowledge of Linux, Ultrix, and Windows desired
• Experience with MS Office Applications (Word and Excel)
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to work quickly and accurately
• Attention to detail
• Good problem solving skills
REQUIREMENTS:
12+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
