We are seeking the following expertise:
Perform structural design of primary and secondary structures for Commercial Airplanes. Independently develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organizational objectives and industry standards. Work will be performed under general direction and reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer coordination. Ensure that airplane structure meets all applicable regulatory requirements and Company design criteria.
REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. OR M.S. OR P.H.D. Degree in Engineering (MECHANICAL, CIVIL OR AERONAUTICAL/ AEROSPACE preferred) and typically a minimum of 9 years experience in an Engineering classification. Candidate must have evidence to show they are capable of performing detail design and integrated layouts using CATIA V5. Candidate MUST HAVE engineering experience with primary aircraft structures (fuselage, wing, empennage, etc.). Candidate MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE working with large transport Aircraft Design and Analysis; Candidate will have commodity experience in at least three or more of the following areas: Aircraft Fuselage/ Empennage, Wing/ Composite Structure/ Metallic Structure/ Floors/ Landing Gear/ Structural Certification/ Fleet Support/ Product Development. Excellent teaming skills required. Strong mechanical aptitude is desired. Strong communication skills and proficiency with standard PC desktop applications is required.
This requisition supports staffing requirements for several existing and developmental airplane programs in various locations
