Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for reliability and maintainability.
Focus of this assignment will be maintainability/maintenance engineering. Candidate will be required to develop step by Step Removal, Disassembly, Assembly, and Installation of CH-47F Airframe Structure to include Fwd Pylon, Section 41, 43, 46, and Aft Pylon. This task will include the following: Frame Assemblies, Former Assemblies, lkhead Assemblies, Beam Assemblies, Skin Assemblies, Stringer Assemblies, and Longeron Assemblies. Must be proficient and able to utilize IPDM, CATIA, VisMockup, MES (as applicable), and CH-47F IETM (will provide) for above effectivity to identify Equipment Condition (i.e. Remove Rotor Head, Aft Transmission, Flight Control Module, etc) Parts and Attaching Hardware (i.e. Stringer, Original Rivet, Replacement Rivet) Remove, Disassemble, Assemble, Install procedures Support Equipment and Tooling requirementsFollow on Maintenance (i.e. Install Rotor Head, Aft Transmission, Flight Control Module, etc)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be proficient in utilizing Excel, Powerpoint (generate graphics from VisMockup or Catia), and Access Database tool.
Structural engineering, mechanical engineering, A&P license, aviation strucutural design knowledge and CATIA V5 experience desired.
REQUIREMENTS:
7+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
