Avionics Systems Design Engineer 3

**Must Be Able to Obtain a Secret Clearance**

Responsible for the architecture and integration of the GTES Avionics Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL). Should have extensive experience in avionics and systems integrations of avionics, development including requirements analysis, software architecture, implementation, integration, enhancement, maintenance testing and problem diagnosis/resolution. Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Make recommendations for technology investments. Must possess good organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Must have demonstrated a strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with a history of meeting commitments. Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events. Must have experience in avionics design, test or circuit design.

Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor's engineering degree and 5 or more years' experience. Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience of PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

**Contractor will be assigned to Oklahoma City, OK and may be on temporary short-term work assignment in Wichita, KS and relocated back to Oklahoma City, OK after training and/or when program transitions to Oklahoma City, OK.**
