JOB DESCRIPTION:
Uses manual or Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools to develop and maintain mechanical/structural engineering product definition. Assists in preparation of basic design layouts. Modifies existing designs. Assists in the coordination and development work transfer packages for relevant parties. Verifies accuracy of non-technical data. Investigates and resolves routine manufacturing process or engineering related issues. Supports the maintenance of new processes and procedures by providing input related to routine aspects of the maintenance process. Works under general supervision.
REQUIREMENTS:
AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess knowledge of design and drafting methods (e.g., orthographic projection, descriptive geometry, layout, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, coordinate systems, etc.) as applied to computer-aided design tools in the creation of drawings and datasets. Must possess ability to read, understand and interpret engineering technical information (e.g., drawings, handbooks, industry standards and specifications). Prefer candidates with training and work experience with CATIA V5.
6+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
