The Company team at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) has a need for a Java-J2EE software engineer. Skills must include: developing and modifying object-oriented software components, developing interfaces between existing simulation components, and coordinating with other team members throughout the component development life-cycle. Able to work on software projects and achieve objectives on time and within individual project timelines. Ideal candidate will be a self-started and will be comfortable working as part of a multi-person development team. This position requires software requirements analysis, detailed design, implementation and test of software as well as planning, development and testing of software systems and software applications. Knowledge of software compilation and link processes is desired. Experience with software requirements analysis and software problem identification/isolation is desired. Experience with software debugging and testing is desired. Experience with C++ development is highly desired.
Education / Experience:
BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with strong software development skills.
6+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
