Structural Analyst supporting the company's Philadelphia H47 Chinook program to execute technical statement of work. Follow-on statement of work on other PHL rotorcraft or commercial projects is possible, but not guaranteed.
Must have an strong working knowledge and practical experience in the following: classical analysis methods of metallic and/or composite structures (software tools IAS and CSW experience is preferred), fatigue/durability and damage tolerance is a plus, finite element models/simulations (Nastran/Patran/Abaqus preferred), design and PDM tools (CATIA V5 and a PDM required). Experience with rotorcraft structures and specifically H47 is a plus.
Performs basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements. Works under general supervision.
Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s of Science in engineering and 4 or more years aerospace structures analysis experience is required.
