Overview

Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

Primarily responsible for the development of derived human interface software requirements for the US Army AH-64D Longbow Apache. This responsibilities include:
- Development of basic high level and detailed functional requirements, including workflow diagrams and flow charts, based on user needs in line with strategic direction and scope of project
- Participates in requirement review meetings to analyze and resolve software requirements issues and document their solutions.
- Evaluates defects from a development perspective.
- Active participation in planning, documenting and testing of user interface features.
- Collaborate in the definition of user interface design standards for Apache Controls and Display User Style Guide, to optimize ease-of-use and achieve an integrated and consistent look and feel.
- Work closely with crew interface design team members, software development teams and other internal stakeholders to build storyboards, use-cases, operational sequence diagrams and user interface concepts of proposed and planned features.
Prefer experience in software engineering environment; familiar with human interface design guidelines, requirements definition and decomposition, and engineering principles. Experience with the full product development lifecycle and iterative software development methodologies. Ability to work independently under general direction as well as part of a cross-functional team. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and strong attention to detail.

Education / Experience:
Bachelor's of Science preferrably engineering
12+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
