Position

Overview

Provide engineering leadership in various Company Research & Technology (BR&T) Projects. Develop statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements. Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans. Makes significant contributions to project development and leads project execution by identifying activities and events required to complete the work statement. Facilitate development and execution of plans in accordance with Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) methodologies and metrics as well as Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) principles. Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program by working with senior managers, sponsors, suppliers and customers to identify and gain commitment for skills, facilities, equipment, and other resources required to ensure successful plan execution. Develop and refine project SOW and Plans as required. Refine CCPM support architecture and supporting elements. Create missing architecture elements based on defined priorities. Responds to changes to statement of work and assesses the impact of those changes to existing requirements, technical feasibility, schedules, and costs using established baseline management processes. Refine existing elements as part of the plan, do, check, act continuous improvement process.

JOB SKILLS: Typical Education and/or Experience Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
