Perform stress analysis for large aircraft fuselage structure using standard Commercial Aircraft tools and process. Work with other structures analysis and design engineers to support the release of engineering drawings. Document analyses using standard guidelines and templates.
JOB SKILLS:
Minimum of 5 years experience performing structures analysis with significant experience with BCA analysis tools (e.g. FAMOSS). Ability to manipulate large databases and calculate margins of safety following established criteria. Ability to develop supporting documentation for review by others. BS degree in aerospace or mechanical preferred.
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience.
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
8+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
