The selected candidates will work with a team of engineers and technical personnel in support of the Autopilot Flight Director System (AFDS) on several commercial aircraft platforms. The position requires managing technical vendor coordination meetings, tracking issues from the meetings, collecting and consolidating technical design requirements for subsequent transmittal to the vendor. The position also requires editing, releasing, and managing the group documentation, and developing program schedules and tracking program progress for all phases of Autoflight development (Requirements, Problem Reports, Validation, Verification, and Certification). The selected candidate will be expected to create, revise, and release text, figures and logic diagrams for specification control drawings (SCDs) and other Autoflight documentation.
JOB SKILLS: The candidate must be able to work independently with minimal direction and be able to develop and implement solutions to support Autoflight roadblocks that are encountered.
Extensive working knowledge of MS Excel, Project, and Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Computer Aided Design tools along with knowledge of Company's drafting and design standards is required. The ability to coordinate across Autoflight functions is also required for successful incorporation of documents into final contractual products and certification support.
