Overview

This position is for supply/logistics management in support of the AV-8B Day Attack Upgrade Program located at MCAS Cherry Point. Works at the organizational level to administer such product support processes as integrated logistics support, integrated support plans, postproduction support plans, and fielding plans. Applies experience gained primarily on the job to investigate and develop solutions to such problems of moderate scope and complexity as support planning and analysis; estimating; scheduling; and tracking repair, overhaul, lease, and exchange activities. Participates in the analysis, definition, and implementation of new and revised support systems, processes, and policies. Defines, develops, directs, and monitors customer support programs from concept through disposal to satisfy requirements for on-going product support, spares, repairs, overhaul, equipment provisioning, tooling, data, and other related services. Represents the company with commercial and military customers to plan and schedule support programs, schedule equipment, transportation, and storage. Investigates schedule discrepancies and develops resolution plans. Uses specialized knowledge of customers to market support products and services and to ensure customer satisfaction. Interfaces with commercial and military customers, equipment suppliers, transportation providers, and company engineering and manufacturing organizations to ensure delivery of support products and services.

JOB SKILLS: The successful applicant will possess experience in AV-8B program supply support. Will possess USMC supply/logistics experience, as well as NALCOMIS/OOMA experience. Be familiar with applicable company publications appropriate to the assignment and have a working knowledge of the AV-8B aircraft equipment, systems and subsystems, as well as a high level of expertise in the receipt, ordering, tracking, and repair of aircraft components, repairables and consumables . Will possess the ability to transfer technical knowledge to less qualified personnel if required. The successful applicant will also possess a high degree of tact, diplomacy, and the ability to work and cooperate harmoniously with U.S. Marine Corps personnel. Will ensure that all maintenance/logistics functions are performed in accordance with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series and other applicable publications as may be directed.
3+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
