Liasion between GMD operational sites and maintenance team
This position prepares staffs and maintains key operations support processes and procedures, including technical system checklists, for the Weapons Systems Operations and Sustainment (WSOPS) Integrated Product Team (IPT). Processes and procedures include: Operations Support Plan, Ground Rules and Constraints for operational use of the GMD system, Positive Access Control Process, operations support center checklists. Technical checklists delineate both the individual component and the integrated system-level steps to be taken at geographically separated locations to transition the GMD system from a test or developmental configuration to an operational configuration for tactical and strategic use. Position requires close coordination with GMD elements to help to reach consensus on critical transition issues. Position requires comprehensive knowledge of GMD systems operations to ensure sound technical procedures are being employed in transition procedures and all aspects of technical transitions. This position will be involved in collection and analysis of transition data to determine technical efficiencies in transition procedures that can lead to reduced transition times. The position is also responsible for the following: the staffing, coordinating and presenting all processes, procedures and checklists through all required boards for the appropriate level of review and approval; coordination with safety, CM, QA and other such organizations across the GMD Program; coordination with GMD sites and other organizations within the GMD program on all issues related to processes, procedures and checklists. Job requires routine internal and external coordination to bring together various organizations to reach common and agreed to solutions. Also the position will plan and conduct tabletop reviews of documentation and assist in conflict resolution.
