JOB DUTIES: Acts as an authorized agent of the company with the responsibility to commit company resources through contracts and agreements for the procurement of goods and services. Oversees supplier related activities. Participates in the new business acquisition process when required. Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions. Documents procurement decisions, creates contract correspondence and administers contract changes between the company and suppliers. Ensures compliance with all relevant Company procedures and contract requirements. Integrates activities with internal and external customers and suppliers to fulfill contract requirements and reconcile contract issues. Manages contract terminations and closeouts. Defines performance expectations and establish relevant metrics. Gathers and evaluates performance data. Meets with suppliers and Company partners and discusses performance-related issues. Develops improvement plans and monitors progress. Monitors supplier capability, capacity and business health. Leads regular supplier performance reviews. Builds successful supplier relationships. Mentors others in the development of supply base management and strategies. Develops negotiation strategy based upon the proposal analysis. Leads the supplier negotiation process. Negotiates pricing and all other elements of the contract terms and conditions. Prepares and execute the negotiated contractual documents and all other pertinent or necessary binding agreements with suppliers.
JOB SKILLS: Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Extensive knowledge in FAR and DFAR a plus Cost Plus Award Fee experience a plus.
Depending on Position Applicant maybe required to pass NASA security screening to obtain assess to Marshall Space Flight Center.
4+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
