Position

Overview

Commercial airplane airframe structures engineering analysis position. Perform structural analysis of primary and secondary structure and systems. Independently develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with solutions that are imaginative, thorough, and practicable and consistent with organization objectives. Work will be performed under general direction and reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Ensure that structure meets all applicable regulatory requirements and Company's design criteria.

JOB SKILLS: Requires B.S. or M.S. degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil or Aeronautical/AEROSPACE preferred) and typically a minimum of 8 years experience in an engineering classification. PRIOR BOEING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED; candidate must have evidence to show they are capable of performing detail stress analysis using BCA approved structures workstation tools and allowables. CANDIDATE MUST HAVE structures engineering experience with Large / primary aircraft structures (fuselage, wing, empennage, etc.). CANDIDATE MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: Composites, fracture, Company's durability and damage tolerance methods/tools, ABAQUS, interiors/systems stress (fuels, mechanical/hydraulic systems, ECS, galleys, lavatories, seats), propulsion/nacelle. Candidate must be able to plan and organize their time to work productively and efficiently while being able to adjust to multiple demands. Good teaming and communication skills required. Strong mechanical aptitude is desired. Team leadership experience is desired. Strong communication skills and proficiency with standard PC desktop applications is required.

U.S. Person status preferred, or current Visa with ability to start assignment within two to four weeks. This requisition supports staffing requirements for several airplane programs in Washington State
