Verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and damage tolerance capability. Defines and documents certification results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that damage tolerance requirements are satisfied. Works under minimal direction.
JOB SKILLS: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience,Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics,
physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
REQUIRED SKILLS - Experience and background with DTA Analysis and the following tools - IDTAS,DTANAL, MAGIC. Only candidates with the skill and experience with these tools will be considered for these positions.
