Releases and maintains orders. Coordinates with suppliers
and customers; documents and resolves order delinquencies. Maintains
supply chain information (item and inventory data) and processes
transactions to ensure accuracy of parts records and information.
JOB SKILLS: Supply Chain Knowledge: General working knowledge of
supply chain requirements (e.g., replenishment, repairs, cycle time,
inventory levels, scrap rate, pricing, suppliers, contracts).
Supply Chain Strategy: General knowledge of supply chain strategies
(e.g., inventory reduction, parts kitting, supplier consolidation,
optimum flow, lead-time reduction).
Scheduling Requirements: General knowledge of customer and supplier
requirements to support program deliveries, for example, planned versus
unplanned demand, economic order quantity, resource planning, material
type, manufacture or purchase, lead times.
Procurement Processes: General knowledge of the responsibilities and
tasks performed by various procurement departments/disciplines. General
knowledge of the interactions between departments/disciplines and how
their products/processes affect one another and impact non-Procurement
processes (e.g., Engineering, Business, Operations, Logistics).
