Why be a Pharmacist in the U.S.?

• There are currently 240,000 pharmacist jobs with expected new job growth of 65,000 by the year 2016.

Foreign pharmacy graduates and foreign-educated scientists who wish to practice pharmacy in the United States must become U.S. certified by following procedures established by the National Associations of the Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). Once certification is complete, a state-specific internship, national pharmacist licensure examination and state-specific or multi-state jurisprudence examination are required before you can attain your pharmacist’s license and become eligible to work in a particular state.
